Not sure if I ever spec'd these correct..

But I demo'd the Non EDT version 176's on the weekend and was blown away with the edge grip..

Looking for info on how I would like the EDT's since I will likely never be able to test them..

and I am looking to replace my current Head monster IM75's

My specs..

6'3" 230lbs..

Ski mostly the east..  Bromont , whiteface , Tremblant..

Not really sure of where I stand ability wise..  I'm well above average on those hills . but still get amazed by some other guys..

I was doing very well on the Firearrows..

Thanks for any help

I first skied the FA84 EDT in a 168cm at the Snow Basin demo days two years ago and almost instantly fell in love.  The edge grip was nothing short of amazing.  I later borrowed a pair of 176s from a friend and skied them for two days at Bridger Bowl; groomers and glades.  The 176 was a handful but not unmanageable.  I nearly got rid of my Steadfasts for these but finally decided they were just too expensive and not as utilitarian.  At this year's demos at Copper Mountain I skied the new FA80 Pro and was not impressed.  The snow was pretty hard and I didn't think the edge grip on the 80 was anywhere near as good as the 84.  I now work in a shop and we're a Nordica dealer so just yesterday I ordered a pair of FA84 EDTs in 168.  The EDT demands your full attention and demands that you drive it all the time.  There is no speed limit with the EDT and I didn't get that sensation from the FA80 Pro, but it is a somewhat narrower ski.  The EDT has terrific rebound and is the most responsive ski I've ever been on, even more responsive than my old Volkl P30 Racecarvers.  This is not a "snooze and cruise" ski and I don't know if the FA80 is or not because I was trying to drive it pretty hard to see what it could do.  If you liked the FA84 Pro then you should love the EDT.

I was only worried that some are chalking the edt attention demanding ect.
I had zero issues on the 84 pros, but like to buy once cry once.

I find the Pro to give you 85% of the performance of the EDT for 75% of the price. The Pro is a bit more playful with loosing all but the Nth degree of the power that the EDT offers. I would suggest for your size, consider the 184 length.

My current skis are all 184..

But the local pro shop guy mentioned I would be good on 175's seeing how stiff they are..

I was thinking like you extra edge give me extra grip
