SL and GS skiis for Masters series

hello,

please recommend size and brand of slalom and gs skiis for masters competitions.

i am on the smaller side, 5'10" and 160 lbs, experienced skier with racing background, but from 20 years ago.

just joined masters competitions and would need skiis te get me introduced back to gates again.

have tried coule of slaloms in 155, 160 and 165 size and have found that 165 felt too big (could not "spring"them with enough force in turns and thus were too heavy). on the other side, 155's were fine but a little bit too small meaning they would get twichy at higher speeds and in ruts. so the sweet size would probably be 160, +-2cm's

gs is black hole for me since i did not have those skis for ages. a little confused with all the lenghts and different radiuses. tried using sg's in 195 size (r=35) for gs, but i could not carve a single turn.

please recommend, fis rules aside (not checked at our competitions).

thanks!

I'd stick to beer League skis, depending on what radius your GS courses are set.

I'm a big fan of the Head i.Speed, but I would consider the Dynastar Course the most accessible. Don't go crazy long on the length - you'll be faster on something you can carve best, Pbby around 175+/-.

Myself, I like having the same brand for slalom and GS as prefer the same ramp angle when switching between the two. Just takes one more variable out of the equation.

i've tried some 176 GS skiis, but they are just to short for higher speeds. from info gathered online i would say around 185 cm and radius 23m or smaller and for slalom 158-160 (womens skiis).

the most accesible brands at my location are elan, fischer and atomic.
