Skiing in S. Vermont was just the pits today

It Snowed all day,  you could hardly see.  Must have been a foot and a half over 36 hours.  And with temps hovering around 10 F,  the snow just billowed up as you skied along.  What a distraction having that billowing shadow follow you down the slope.

The snow was so light a fella would sink into it up to the knees somer places in the trees,  and that is with wide skis!  Mogul skiers must have really hated it,  all the bumps were filled in and could be skied with just about any line.  Over the tops,  through the dips,  follow the zipper..  It didn't really matter.  Where is the fun in that!  ???  ;-)

There were a few people out in the morning, but it seems most of them got fed up by 2 o'clock and called it a day.  "can't say I blame them.

The conditions were so unfamiliar,  so out of character,

Oh well,  It's not supposed to snow again until Thursday.  I'll sneak a "good day" in tomorrow.

Yeah, I skied New England today too.  Damn, it was so crappy, I had to stay from first chair to last chair just to get my money's worth.  Lots 'o folks got so discouraged they left early.  But since I could never see any ice, I had to stick it out just to see if I could ski-pack it back down to the regular conditions.  Still, I just couldn't find bottom, even using those newfangled wide skis.

Total loss of a day.

You jerks.  We're supposed to get 2-4 today.  If so, I'm heading straight for the local bump, family can eat canned tuna tonight.
