I'm strongly considering getting the 2014/2015 Bridge to add to the quiver for the typical east coast type "powder" day (5-7 inches of fresh snow for first tracks and then bumped up by noon, decent tree sking in the am that gets flattened by the afternoon, etc.). Not looking for something for the once a year rare 12+ inches of snow. Anyway, I demoed the Bridge and really liked it. Would welcome some thoughts on this ski for the EC conditions I describe above, but of particular interest, it seems from the SIA pictures that Volkl will stop making it. Just wondering why.
Is Volkl discontinuing the Bridge in 2015-2016?

Ended up getting the Volkl Bridge but now my daughter wants a pair as well! I'd like to wait until next season, but it would be nice to know if they are being discontinued. Might not make sense to wait much longer. Anyone know?
I'm also interested so I did some digging. Here's what I found from the Powder7.com SIA report:
"Next down the line is the 90Eight, which will essentially take over last years (reverse camber) Bridge. Now with camber underfoot and rocker in the tip and tail, you get a more versatile ski, and in my opinion, will do much better on hard snow than the bridge."
It sounds like the full rocker is going away.
