Tecnica Inferno Blaze flex adjustment

Hi everyone,

I searched and really can't find the answer to this anywhere. I have a pair of Tecnica Inferno Blaze boots, about three years old or so. They have two removable rivets in the back. I used them with the rivets off and the plastic holders in place instead, and as I progressed (and, um... got a bit fatter...) I am looking to increase the stiffness to 110 by putting the rivets back in. The problem is that the plastic holders are either stuck, or I don't know how I'm supposed to take them out. There is nothing in the little manual that came with them or on the Tecnica website. Do I just muscle them out somehow? I really pushed hard with a little allen wrench they provide, and other right-size objects. I don't recall a special tool for this, they look like one of those snap-on things. They turn in place freely, but just won't come out. Any advice? Thank you in advance.

Anyone? Any experience with this issue? Thanks

you should be able to pry them out,   maybe a thin flat head screw driver (or butter knife) and pry/pop them out?

might be able to push them out from the inside too?

I wanted to follow up with the resolution in case others run into the same problem. Prying them out with a butter knife did it. I kept thinking I was doing something wrong and I was afraid I would damage them somehow. But no, it really does appear that muscling them out is the way to go. Simply pushing from inside is unlikely to work though, there is a one-way plastic retainer that won't come lose, you need the push-and-pry motion from both sides. Thanks for all the tips.
