Why the Austrians ski so well

I got this link from Andrea Sendelhofer (Haaser)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WY-ZhJXudU

Andrea was on the Austrian National Team and actually beat Annamarie Moser-Proll in a World Cup Race.

Watch for her son Raphael, he just won the SL in the European Youth Championships.

It's all in the shins.

Parallel shins are the mark of an Austrian style, looking down into a ski boot with the tongue at 12 o'clock press the shins at 11 and 1 o'clock.

This effectively puts your shins in place to at least look Austrian.

YMMV

I was going to ask what she's doing at Vail, everyone knows Vail sucks! :cool But, that's actually the Beav.

I think Raphael is either the third or fourth generation of WC racers in the family.

The talent pool in Austria is very deep.
