Snowbird Utah - plan a trip 1st week of March or last week of March

Hello.

We are going to Snowbird, UT this year.

What should my expectations be for either early March or late March in regards to conditions?

I am an east coast snowboarder.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Either of those weeks gives you the same chance at a storm with powder skiing in new snowfall, but the last week of March increases your chance of warm weather with daily freeze/thaw cycles, meaning hard/icy conditions in the morning, with softening and possibly wet slopes in the afternoon. For sure, you'll get a better sun tan in late March.

Great thanks!
Seems like the 1st week of March would be better! Hope we get some POW!

I've gone late March / early April for a decade and only been skunked once. Am planning to do the same again this year.
