Ski boot fitter recommendations in Spokane/CDA

Thread Starter

Hey guys, in need of some new boots and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I would like to have orthotics made as well as liners molded and shells adjusted based on my foot and leg shape.

Just wondering if anyone can recommend their favorite shop and boot fitter in the area. Spoke with a few guys at Wintersport and walked away feeling like they just want you to ride the boot off the shelf... not exactly what Im looking for.

Thanks!

Try to make a trip out to Seattle or even Whitefish.. As far as I know, there's no go-to boot fitter in Spokane/CDA since Pat S. left for Jackson Hole.

I guess Pat works for @Skiing-in-Jackson now, small world!

Duie at Great Northern Cycle and Ski is the local guy most I know use here in Whitefish. He will work with boots from elsewhere for a price. It's best to make an appointment. Not sure how their stock is at the point in the season.

Stopped by that shop in Whitefish to check it out while I was in town last week. Definitely looks like the place to go, but stock was pretty low.

Oh boy, just cruising through and a little dismayed to find there is not a boot fitter in my area (Spo/CDA). Interesting, should I just cruise through the how to's on buying boots? Some, in another thread I started, suggested Sports Creel..is that a good recommendation for boots?

Thanks,

Cory

Might try Alpine Shop in Sandpoint or Schweitzer, they advertise as an "America's Best Bootfitter".
