Excellent conditions at Lookout Pass on Idaho/Montana Border

It seems that the Pacific Northwest has finally been dealt a bad hand with El Nino. It seems that the 10"-16" dumps are immediately followed by rain making for some tough conditions. After getting rained out at another North Idaho resort this past weekend, I was blown away by the excellent conditions on Wednesday at Lookout Pass on the Idaho/Montana border.

They were FULL ON PERFECT!

Desi Charging hard in the Lucky Friday Trees

Groomers were immaculate,

Ski School Director David laying down a trench.

Alison Murphy is all smiles as she rips the corduroy.

The fresh in the trees was about boot top high and the sky, well it was as Blue as it gets!

                                                             Desi blasting a little Airtime

Soft snow and sunshine, what a combo!

For anyone in the Eastern Washington/North Idaho or Western Montana who's wondering on where to go for good conditions, Lookout Pass Baby!!!

Yes, we have season passes to Silver and the snow has been awful (although the sun above the fog has been great!). We're starting to think we're not going to get the value back on our passes this year. I heard last weekend that Lookout was great - would love to go back as that is actually where I learned to ski, but even though prices are great for ski passes, it's hard to justify paying for day passes when you have a season pass somewhere else. Those are fantastic pictures!
