Wich one would you choose?
not too sure of the Sabres, but I was in the Siridals for the past 4 years. After 1 season, there are small slicing cuts near the boot cuff on the inside of them. For the price, they are good, but I would have thought that they would be a bit more durable than that. The second pair held up a bit better
I'm in Norrona Lofoton now, and they are so sturdy (Especially around the boot area), that I'm pretty sure I would need an electric drill to get through them :-)
I picked up a pair of Sabre pants last summer (about the same price) and have skied about 6 days in them this season (on piste).
So far I like them fine. Large pockets and adequate side vents. The vents are a little difficult to open sitting in a cramped gondola, but other than that, no complaints.
I wanted a waterproof shell with very little insulation and they fit the ticket. I can add base layers depending on the temps...
They seem like they might be a little warm for backcountry (for me) unless it is really cold or really wet.
