help and advice re k2 burnin luv

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted some advice regarding ski size for me.  I love the k2 tru luv but am thinking of going onto burnin luv and have been recommended 149cm.  I am 5"3 and 60kg, and like fast groomed piste skiing as opposed to moguls.  I'm intermediate and can comfortably get down most slopes.

Having looked around I'm not sure I should buy 153cm as opposed to 149cm so any advice most welcome! Also been offered Head Cool One skis - does anyone prefer these to K2?

Thanks

Welcome to EpicSki!  Would help to know where you usually ski.  I had the One Luv as an intermediate.  I'm more petite than you.  Found out after a while that I like Rossignol or Blizzard skis a lot better than K2.  The new Head skis, the Joy line, are lots of fun.  Don't know anything about the older Head skis.

Paging @Trekchick for advice.

Thanks for coming back to me. I normally ski in Europe so don't get much option for powder! I've used tru luv and enjoyed them, but this year tried Volkl which didn't do it for me. Having read up on some of the reviews and also chat here, I think I may be a k2 girl although having said that I have just been skiing with a friend who had dynastar skis and she was flying!

I'm just a bit wary of length size and wasn't sure whether shorter skis would be better than longer ones...

I wouldn't hesitate to get the 153.  At your size you can easily ski it in a 153 and that length will give you a little more stability at speed.

Dynastars are another popular brand with the North American women who are petite.
