So I ordered new skis online (Head Rev 80 Pro) and got the bindings mounted and Sun and Ski sports. I live in Charlotte, NC, so there are really limited ski shop options there. I pretty much no experience with tuning, I just get the store to do it and then use the skis.
At sun and ski sports, the only option was the mounting package, where they mount the skis, adjust bindings, add wax, and detune the skis.
I brought the skis to the shop and they told me they would be done by thursday, but I told them we were leaving thursday, so they said they'll get it done by today. I guess I might have rushed them a bit because of that.
So I pick up the skis from the shop, and It looks like they didn't do a good job. I know very little about tuning, but I'm fairly certain there shouldn't be wax covering the entire edge at certain places. There were also solidified drops of wax on the topsheet, though I think that would have any affect on the skis.
Is this supposed to happen? If not, what should I do about it? I can't really take it to the store because I don't have time to, since I'm leaving soon.
