I was able to get some video of myself today, and I felt like I was skiing great. When I got home and looked at the video, I was pretty disappointed. I was going for some high performance short radius turns, like you see from exhibition skiers. I was skiing fast, and I was going for zero skidding; just quickly rolling from edge to edge. Didn't quite work out the way I hoped.
What I found was a significant A-Frame problem. I'm also seeing my Lazy Right Hand problem again. At times it almost looks like I'm stepping from ski to ski, which I have noticed myself doing at times, but did not feel at all while I was being filmed.
So what do you suggest? Any drills that might help get rid of the A-Frame. If you notice other issues that could be contributing to the problem, I'd love to hear about them as well. I am planning on taking a lesson or two in the next few weeks, but in the mean time, I'd like to have something to work on if possible.
