Second Toe metatarsal rubbing in ski boot

I have sanded down the boot board and the bottom of the foot bed in the toe area but still have rubbing on this "toe knuckle"

The area affected actually is directly under the top stiching in the toe area of the boot liner.
I ' m wondering if I remove this stiching that will provide some relief.

Boots are Head RAptors 115 flex.

Good or bad idea to remove the stiching . It feels hard when I put my hand inside the toe area and simulate my toe pushing against this hard stiching.

Are we talking about a hammer toe?

If so, you could cut out the footbed material directly under the end of the toe to let it drop a little more.

Hate to mess up orthotic but maybe that would provide needed relief. I have a toe heat element pad for Thermic boot heaters , but can't do without those!

I thought if I cut out the stiching that this toe is pushing up against it might provide some relief.

Bad idea?

not a bad idea since you have the heater elements to contend with.  If you open the seam and it didn't help you could always resew it by hand.
