Need help assessing crowds at the Park City resorts

I will be arriving in early Feb. and will ski 4 consecutive days, a Saturday through Tuesday.  Given that I'm not skiing on a holiday, I'm not too worried about weekday crowds.  I tend to go to the less crowded resorts for the peak days.  Between the 3 resorts in the area, which would be best for Saturday and Sunday?  Alternatively, I may make the drive to Snowbasin for one of the weekend days if that helps avoid the crowds.  Obviously all of this ignores the snow conditions, we also want to make sure to chase the snow for a bit which could completely derail my plans and send us to LCC.  But if conditions are decent, I don't plan to ski BCC or LCC since I've been there before.  One point of this trip is to check out some new resorts, and I've never skied anything in the Park City area.

I always enjoy skiing up in the Eden locale.  Given good snow, you can't go wrong with Snowbasin and/or Powder Mtn.  Snowbasin's lift system is world class; the lodges there are world class ... a great place to ski.  Powder Mtn is a blue collar resort ... no fluff and all about skiing-riding.  Crowds are seldom and the tree skiing is among my all time favorites.

Once, yes.  I would like to go again on this trip, I'm just not sure which day.  We are staying directly in Park City, at a location extremely convenient to PCMR.  So we will spend at least 3 days in the PC area, but the mix of resorts is TBD.  I was thinking of 2 days at Canyons due to its size and odd lift layout, 1 at PCMR, 1 at Snowbasin.  On Saturday and Sunday I want to avoid crowds, which is why I'm asking for some advice.

Based on conversations on the lifts with locals, my understanding is that PCMR has been the most crowded this season, with Deer Valley close behind and Canyons relatively uncrowded. My last holiday Saturday at Canyons was definitely not bad--that'd be my recommendation in the Park City area for your Saturday. I also agree with the consensus that PowMow and/or Snowbasin might be a good choice.

PC & DV are always more crowded than Canyons. Yesterday, snow at Canyons off piste was great on North and NE facing slopes. Off piste Southern exposure pretty much is neither covered nor open. Powder will probably be a little less busy than Canyons, but on lift serviced terrain is likely to feel similar in volume. If your looking for backcountry with no lift service, Powder may offer good options for untouched powder. Again, Canyons will be similar, perhaps better. Year to date snowfall at Powder 100", at Canyons 109", in Little Cottonwood over 175".

Enjoy your trip.

We ski in Utah in late February usually.often our first day is Sunday at deer Valley or the canyons.it never seems too crowded at all at either resort.i'm not sure about Saturdays.

Come to think of it, the only time lift lines are a problem are at Snowbird or Alta on a powder day.no matter what day of the week it is

Canyons will probably be least crowded but honestly on a non-holiday weekend you can usually find some fairly uncrowded lifts/terrain at all the PC areas. I have found Snowbasin is often very crowded on weekends, especially if the weather is nice.

Nice weather as in snow or nice as in bluebird?  ;-)

Thanks for the advice all.  I've been to Alta/Bird several times, but I'm looking for something new on this trip.  It sounds like Canyons might be our best bet for Saturday.  At this point I'm just hoping for snow.  If it stays this way we might be on groomers the whole time which will completely change my perspective.
