System Crashed Again, Changes In the Works

Thread Starter
We had another severe crash, deleting usernames -- this time including mine. Very luckily I had a backup username with admin status, or I would have been locked out of the control panel.

I understand that the system performance has been entirely unacceptable and am going to make dramatic changes, hopefully in the next few days. The problem now and last time is that EpicSki is a hobby to me and my real life work activities have been too demanding lately to dedicate the significant time required to make the big system changes that EpicSki currently requires. Those demands have not gone away, but at this point EpicSki is crashing and deleting things at will, so that cannot stand either.

I have to either find the time to make this significant change, or pass on EpicSki to someone else who can.

I apologize for only applying a band-aid last time when open heart surgery was required.

I just tried to change to my #2 site name (the first was lost in the St. Patrick's day crash) lets see if this worked.

AC You must be so frustrated!
I can understand your frustration, AC. I wish I had the talent to take this over....I'd love it! But I'm as computer illiterate as they come.

I can't even get into the Lounge anymore, since I've lost myself and had to come up with yet a third moniker.

I feel Lost.........

Gotta get some sleep.

If anyone has old member info that would help us rebuild the lost information please post it here.

Old Member number, display name, number of posts, date registered, etc..

and new member number.

I'll work on them tomorrow during the day sometime.

Geeze, I was way off wasn't I? That sounds right now that you say it. As I remember I was only about 25 members before Bonni because I commented to her on that one time.

See what a head injury does to one...I suffer from CRS much more than I ever did before.

What a bugger, that must be really frustrating for you guys (AC and DC!). Technology often doesn't do what it's meant to.

AC/dchan

Just wondering what's up with the system? My profile, member number, mailbox, and post count have reverted back to the post St. Paddy's Day profile, before Allen reset everything for me.
did you switch computers or move to a computer that you were using at a different time. Some of the info is actually carried forth in cookies. Log off, clear your IE cookies and log back on and see if it reverts back to your your original "fixed" info.
