Snowbird Jan 6 -

I expected poor conditions. Boy was I wrong. Got a late start -11am. Started with chips run
- oh nice!! Moved to mineral basin. Skied both sides of the lift line. It was soft grippy smooth. By 1pm - certain spots were getting slushy. Afternoin - cirque and little cloud bowl.
Chalky. A little hard in spots but easily edgeable.

Alta today.

Spent all day on Collins and wildcat. Groomed runs were hard but but nice.
Skiers right of Collins - upper sunspot ? - not bad but early spring conditions.

Best skiing - isn't it always - was to be found off of wildcat. Spent most of my time here.
Moguls - but chalky and easily edgeable.

Snowbird Thursday

Warm day. Sun is taking its toll. Started in Mineral basin. Line selection was
Crucial. Skiers left of the lift was crusty. Skiers right was nice and chalky.
Then moved to little cloud bowl. Regulator skied well but is smooth in spots.
Best skiing was near Mark Malu fork. Found soft powder way way left of it if u scoot
over a bunch of cliffs !!

Skied some off of Gad2. Groomed runs were nice. Moguls are getting crusty.

Great trip overall. Glad I made it.
