Quality leather boots 75mm?

I'm looking for some good leather boots for nordic backcountry touring. Something that will last a long time. When I was in Norway, I found some by a company called Varg. Problem is I can't find any here in the US that are similar. I do see some vintage leather boots though. What do you all think about vintage boots. If they aren't too scuffed up should they be fine as long as they fit? Can anybody recommend a good boot that is sold on the market around here?

Thanks

Lundhags Husky
Scarpa Wasatch

Alpina Blazer, Alpina Alaska

iirc Crispi also sell some (Sydpolen) but you might have to order them out of Yurp.

As long as they fit and aren't too softened/worn down by use and as long as the soles don't delaminate and as long as the liners don't start flaking away.      Any 10year old or older boot (and they all will be) is going to be suspect for all 5 issues.

you might try ASOLO for vintage stuff. they hold up pretty well for regular touring use.  I have picked up some snowpines and snowfields in the past in excellent condition for less than $10.00  you will  have to use 3 pins for the older boots.  if you want to use a newer system binding you will have to get a matching boot.  personally, I prefer 3pins(75mm Nordic norm) for everything except skate skiing.

I have a pair of Alico boots that are 35 years old that are in great shape, although they have seen very little use for the last 30 or so. Can't bear to part with them for some reason.
