Watching World Cup 2015 Championship at BC -- is it worth it??

Searched a couple of ways and didn't find info on this specific question.

So we can get to Beaver Creek, but is it worth the hassle to see more than giant video screens at the stadium they are setting up?

The web site  http://vailbeavercreek2015.com/race/ indicates we can ski to the actual finish area, anyone have any info on that?

Though it sounds like fun to drive out to BC and see the WC one day, as well as get in a few runs, not sure it is worth the hassle.  So very curious on anyone with more info.  Thanks.

Only you can decide if it's worth the trip. I can tell you that seeing a race in person is very exciting, and since it's the world championships it will be even more so. I'm flying from WA and there's nothing about this trip that seems like a hassle; it's nothing like seeing races at an Olympics, which really does require effort in terms of getting tickets, lodging, etc.

The way you worded your question about the video screens is confusing-do you mean, will you see anything besides on video? Yes. All WC races have giant video screens, there's nothing unusual about these.

People ski to the stands at the annual races at BC, so I imagine it's similar. That sounds like a hassle to me, since you have to navigate the stands in your ski boots, but people do it. It sounds easier to me to store your skis at the village, change into regular boots and take the short shuttle ride up to the stands, but that's just me.

It's a very exciting atmosphere--especially when the Americans race. BC is a much more knowledgeable race crowd. From the bottom, you can see a fair amount of the end of the course. I didn't ski there. Instead, I took one of their shuttles from the parking.
