In under 2 weeks, I won't have wings again for quite some time. sigh. Must spend next week or so stocking up...those rusty nail wings were excellent.
ant, you could always COOK your own wings. In the arvo, even.

If you can find it within yourself to make it back, we will come ski with you when there is snow and not the thick water we had last weekend. Deal?

I have tried, believe me. they are just not the same as pub wings. Same with meat pies back home. You just can't make them like bakeries make them.

well, if I'm back here, I do hope for many people to ski with!
You'll have them! However, some of us are way out of your league - but we still love you, and we want to hear your observations and advice, and of course, we want to watch you ski.

What was the thing with arvo again? we abbreviate everything, or whack an O on the end of it. Often both. So the bloke who used to come around collecting bottles became the Bottle-o. Afternoon is arvo. A bloke called David becomes Davo. and so it goes.

I'm planning to try to come back next year at some point also, As long as Bonni doesn't try taking me down a bunch of moguls again. Ant, if you come back I'm sure you could give me all kinds of pointers. Did you ever touch the snow? I was sure you were floating.

Iowa Boy-

WELCOME! It's good to see The Boy doing something constructive during work hours.

Strap yourself in and surf...you may find something to amuse yourself.

I'll definitely take you out again....You're a Natural Talent. :

Anto-

It's just a cool thang...........

Is Iowa boy the chap in the puce jacket? You sure improved fast, in very trying conditions!

Oprah would be Op-O, I should think. Oboe, well, the O is there. You might become Obe, or if you had real friends, some nickname with an obscure and complicated provenance.
gee. . . i sure wish i had real friends.

Oh OK, Oboe might be a mysterious nickname. Here, most people have them, but the stories behind them are so long and complicated that most don't know why their mates have this or that nickname.
It's good if they have some relevance to your real name, too.
Like mine, it's a contraction of my name, but it's mainly due to that fact that when I got it, I was small, and could lift twice my bodyweight.

Ant, I was the short one that managed to keep his skiis on coming up the lift. I don't really know what color puce is, but if it's anything like maroon, that was me.

Thanks for welcoming me Queenie. I figured, hey what better to do at work. Just following in your footsteps.

That's Queen B to you, Boy.

I'm a tough act to follow, but I know you'll be as good as goofing off as I was, if not better. Like I said, Natural Talent.

Bow down at the feet of the Queen! All worthy followers must bow at the feet of the Queen B.

Welcome on board Iowa Boy!
Ha ha, I know to much about her to bow down. I should be calling her bon bon.

Thanks for the welcome Skierteach1. Dave and I had fun with ya at Stowe.

maroon, puce, plum. that was it. Definite and steady improvement throughout the day, very impressive to see. I wish I improved so fast!
short? huh. Apparently I'm short. I don't believe it...
I was having lots of fun, and was feeling pretty confident by the end of the day. Maybe next year we can do more of the tougher runs.

Well, I guess we're not that short. I think we were pretty comparable in height. At least we're still taller than Queen B. I am short compared to Dave though.
I may be short, but I still ski better than you, at least, for this season! You'll pass me by next year. :

Ski you later.
