Transferring Bindings

Hi all,
I was wondering if it is usually possible to transfer bindings from an old pair of GS skis I had to a new pair of GS skis.

Thanks,
Alvin

Most things are "possible" but might not be easy or recommended.  How old are the bindings?  If they aren't on the Indemnified List then you will have trouble finding a shop to do it.  Do they have plates?

This is how I typically approach a DIY binding project.  I wouldn't recommend doing it with a brand new pair of skis on your first try though.  Practice on an old pair first.

More importantly, it will depend what type of plate is on the ski.  Most (a race stock) GS skis come with a plate which only takes a certain binding . Exceptions are Fischer and Head which have plate that can be drilled to take almost any binding.

If you tell us what the old and new skis are and what the binding is we will be able to advise better

I'm not sure what bindings I'm using but my old ski is Head and new ones are Fischer.

If it is the black Fischer WC plate it can be drilled for (virtually) any binding
