Best "non big box" place for ski tune ups in eastern toronto

Want to get the family skiis tuned up before we head to Tremblant next Friday.  Can anyone recommend a good place in eastern Toronto / Durham region? I"m hesitant to take it to SportChek or Skiis and Bikes.  I've seen a few guys advertising on Kijiji including a mobile tuner which seemed really convenient.

Or am i best to try get it done at the local ski hill like Lakeridge or Dagmar on a lunch break?

For family tunes I would look at who has the best tuning equipment, I am pretty sure almost all the places you listed will have not have modern tuning machinery.

In Tremblant the goto shop is http://www.daniellachanceskiservice.com/

Near Ottawa - http://demo.shaversports.com/shaversports/

Mt Tremblant seems to have an pretty intense setup in the base village. Wonder if they can tune up while we have lunch or something?

in oshawa noticed Kirby mountain sports has some pretty impressive machinery for tune ups. One of only a few such setups in Canada.

anybody have experience with either of the above?

The one in Oshawa is not bad. Just be very specific in what you ask for. They tuned my skis last year. The tech looked at me funny when I asked about a base renew wax, then told me there was no such thing. I then told him swix and dominator makes it. I also asked about sidewall removal and they said they could not do it as the bindings where mounted already.

they would do it overnight - give them the skis as you arrive maybe - a friend did that - maybe call them and ask ahead.
