Annual Guys Ski Trip - This Year We're Hitting Beaver Creek

It's that time of year again for the men folk to hop on a plane and use skiing as our excuse to get together and drink a ton and pretend we're in our 20's again.

We're hitting Beaver Creek for the first time.  Any tips on where to rent skis, restaurants, bars, etc. would be awesome!

Where are you staying?  Up in the village or in Avon or down valley?

There are many great restaurants at the Beav, but I always seem to end up eating fantastic pizza at the Blue Moose at least once:

We're staying at Saddleridge.  Bluemoose looks great, thanks for the recommendation!

Our group is a lil less steakhouse and a lot more burgers/wings/pizza and bars.  Any good watering hole we should check out, or even better a great bar with some above average grub?

^^^ Well, Beaver Creek isn't exactly slumming it.  :rotflmao:

You'll definitely want to go to Coyote Cafe.  They have decent mexican food and it's a great place to hang out and drink.   I think that's about it???  Maybe alternate between Blue Moose and Coyote Cafe every night.  :)   Then use the money you save to go to Beano's one night and have the elk!

Keep an eye on your buddies if you've been drinking.   IIRC Saddleridge is a long walk up the hill from the village.  Take the free shuttle.  You don't want someone trying to walk home and turning into a popsicle.

Never made it to the Blue Moose. We did hit the Coyote Cafe it was just ok. In Beaver Creek we liked the Dusty Boot and the Black Diamond Bistro (this was our "fancy" dinner night).

We ate at Vail twice. Vendettas was a bangin' good pizza joint. We hit The Gorge which had amazing après deals ($4 you call it and $9 appetizers).

As far as skiing Beaver Creek was the best mountain I've visited yet! They had TONS of terrain that was friendly to my low-intermediate skill set! I'll be back, and next time I'll bring the whole fam.
