I have both the Cobra Microtalk 305 and the Motorolla 6310. They are pretty good, but I find the Motorolla is a little clearer in receptions than the Cobra. Both have 14/38, vibrate alerts, back lighting and an option of hand free microphone, but the 6310 has the radio and weather alerts built-in, which I think is nice. The Cobra push-to-talk button is on the side, which I like better.
I like them both and there was never a time when one can not communicate to the other (except when they're out of range) due to being different brands.
note: if you get the 6300's, you'll need to turn the privacy mode off(I think that's what it's called) in order to use with with another models/brands.
One thing I like in the 6300 more than the Cobra305 is the batteries usage. They seem to last a tag longer with just 3 AA (Cobra uses 4 AAA).
A friend has the 6200's Motorolla and I like them due to their smaller sizes, plus they are alot cheaper. If you don't need all the bells and whistles, they are great buys.
