Wyoming Saloon?

Back in the summer of 2006 we took a family vacation to Yellowstone. When we were in Wyoming one night, we ate dinner at a saloon style restaurant that had the best buffalo burger I have ever had. Problem is, I can't remember what it was called or which city it was in. I'm thinking either Jackson or Cody, but I'm really hoping it was Jackson. The place was like a saloon right out of the 1800's with wood floors, wood walls, little wood flapper doors, and all that. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? My google searching hasn't turned it up. I want another buffalo burger when I am skiing Jackson Hole in late January.

That's what all Wyoming salons are like. Some still have bullet holes.

As long as they don't hit me and I am eating a wonderful buffalo burger, they can shoot all they want.

Unfortunately no. No buffalo burger on the menu, and too fancy. The one I am thinking of was typical bar/saloon food. Nothing fancy, just really good food thrown on a plate.

Mangy Moose?

Google "Wort Hotel" in Jackson, it's an old classic western building. Menu shows they have Buffalo Burgers. Had some myself, ymmmm.

I've never had food at the Wort, but IMHO it's a better bar than the million dollar or the moose.

I recall you are committed  for the Gathering this year, so, you will have an opportunity to sample the Wort. @Garyskr and his local buddy introduced me to the Wort 2 years ago, it was so good, we went back a second night. It just might be a good spot for a group dinner for those staying in downtown Jackson.
