That's right. (Not that you should feel guilty, Sib -- but we should feel free to envy you.)

Where? we drove up to Stowe, also lots of people on the slopes.  Some trails had nice soft manmade and some had plenty of boilerplate.  Gonna try Okemo tomorrow.

Stratton, of course.  Those Southern Vermont resorts host hordes of screaming outsiders over Christmas break -- although they said the crowds were unexpected yesterday.  The rain had put a lot of people off.  Lift lines weren't awful, awful, but some of the trails were.  I doubt Okemo is treating you today, though it's not impossible.  Good luck!

Okemo was a mixed bag today we found some of the best man made I have ever skied and some scraped stuff as well.  No lines at all except for the new 6-pack bubble chair which had massive lines all day.  We rode it after 3PM when the line was finally gone and it was getting colder.  I have seen the place much more crowded for this holiday week.

Good on ya! I'm heading up that way tomorrow morning to pick up demo skis, though I'm skiing at Stratton again. I hope people will have left for the holiday. I guess I'll find out.

Drove up this morning with rain in the forecast then partly sunny warming to mid 40s around 11am.  Got there at 10:45am, it was snowing.  It snowed harder and harder all day.  Temp never got above 35.  I get that rain in town often means snow up higher, but it was supposed to clear up.  Too bad LOL!  Sorry, no photos.  Didn't want to get my phone wet.  Not quite a powder day, but better than expected.  The rain before we arrived cleared out the crowds.  They were pouring in to the joint as we were packing up and leaving mid afternoon though.

For family and weather sanity reasons, I missed that, and ended up skating the golf course, and buying my nieces lunch.

During an hour and a half of skating, I never spotted a single skier on the dh runs up there!

Today was colder. I had a dental appointment, but heard that it wasn't quite empty today. I would have liked to have gone today as well. I know it was -11 at my house.

We got in six runs at Big Sky on Tuesday. The afternoon was actually nice in the sun. Today felt colder even though it was above zero.

I'm still waiting for someone to at least chortle or groan over my Camelback pun a few posts back.

Missed it entirely, but did think the hump was some kind of "hump day" thing, not a reference to the ski area. Now I understand the odd wording.. Duh.

Worse than that. I drove an hour to pick up the skis, but whoever had them the day before hadn't returned them, and the shop never let me know. Gave up on the day and tried today instead. No crowds. New Year's Day.

Great. I guess it's now safe to go back into the water. Heading back up on Sat night.

Perhaps Friday night would be better.  It's looking like rain on Sunday.  (Back into the water.)

Already scheduled out to Sunday. Probably be there for couple of weeks until the crowds drift in for MLK. Then I'm running for the hills.

Thought I should cause more torture.
