Binding Problem on my Rossi Soul 7 - Bad work by ski shop or Defect in Ski?

Thread Starter

So last weekend I was riding my Soul 7's for the first time and after about 12 hours on the ski, I noticed one of my bindings not fully fastened down.  Before getting it fix I took a picture to show the ski shop back in Wisconsin and try to get an explanation.  Christy Sports believed it to be poor workmanship by the Wisconsin shop and the Wisconsin shop is trying to blame it on a defect they have been hearing with the Soul 7.  Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem with the Soul 7 or has an opinion on what the problem was?

Drilling into the Soul 7 is like drilling into a cloud. If a tech strips the hole…well, that's what helicoils are for. Defect or not, this is shoddy shop work.

Looks like a spinner to me too...  Easily fixed though.
