has any been to snowshoe this year

My local ski area doesn't have much snow and I am getting bored with the same 2 runs. I have a snowshoe pass and am wondering if it is worth the 7 hour drive and expensive lodging to do a long weekend trip this early in season.

A friend of mine spent Thanksgiving at Snowshoe.  They had a good time.  Now that Silver Creek is open as well, I think there is plenty of terrain.  Of course, during the holiday weeks there are also probably some long lift lines at certain times of the day.
