Crystal or Baker?

Hi!  New to this forum.  Family is trying to decide whether to ski on Dec. 28th and 29th at Baker or Crystal.  Basically looking for the best snow on blue square runs.  Anyone know about conditions at both areas?  Thank you!!

I'd keep my eyes peeled in this thread:

...to see where people ski between now and then. I typically ski Crystal but since it's Xmas break and there is so much pent up demand, I'll probably sit out this weekend and let the mobs get it out of their system.

I haven't yet been to either Crystal or Baker yet, however it looks like Crystal has a lot more open terrain. Baker at the moment only has chairs 1,2 and 3 spinning, which means very limited blue square runs, Austin and Blueberry and that's about it. May not be groomed, either.

Crystal is probably a better bet as it stands right now. If there is a lot more snow and Baker opens C-8 there would be a lot more blue squares for you.

You can cover all of the blue runs, in nearly every combination, in about an hour at Baker.  Only go there if a lot of snow falls in the next few days.  Otherwise go to Crystal.

The weather forecast calls for only small amounts of new snow in the near future.
