Beginners going to park city

Hi everyone. My husband and I are going to park city in February for my birthday. We are looking for recommendations for favorite places to stay and ski in the area. We were looking at Escala in the Canyons but are now leaning towards staying in Park city. Any recommendations would be appreciated. We have both skied quite a bit in our childhood but are considering ourselves beginners as adults and plan to do ski lessons. Thanks!

Deer valley would be my choice as a beginner. It may be my favorite of the 3 PC resorts as an expert. The mountain and trails are cut well. They really do have making your ski day enjoyable down to a T.

Welcome to EpicSki!  Where did you ski in your youth?  For how many years?  I doubt you are going to be beginners for more than a day or two.  I didn't ski for 10 years after only skiing as a teen for two seasons.  Was surprised at how much came back even without a lesson.

Are you going to rent a car or simply use the Park City bus system?

At the Escala's rates, I'd recommend Deer Valley, pretty much anything. Rent a car and plan a side trip to some of the other resorts.  SLC area is skier's Disneyland.
