New Hestra Glove Liners

Thread Starter

My Hestra Helis are in need of new liners. I noticed Hestra now makes a Fleece/Merino liner for some of their gloves. Has anyone compared these liners to the regular Heli liners? The Merino ones are $20 more. Trying to find out if they are any warmer than the regular liners. My emails to Hestra have gone unanswered.

I haven't used the liners that you're referring to specifically, but I got a new set of liners for my Heli 3-fingers because the liners that came with them (https://hestragloves.com/sport/en-us/gloves/liners/quallofill-liner-long/020/) are crap. I got the Expedition linger (https://hestragloves.com/sport/en-us/gloves/liners/primaloft-extreme-3-finger-liner/100/), which has Primaloft insulation and I've found it to be much warmer than the stock liners. Might be worth taking a look at.

Don't bother with the merino liners.  I tried them and they wore holes in the fingertips very quickly; they're simply too delicate to take any rubbing inside your mitts/gloves to be of any real use.

I also tried the Powertec ones.  They lasted a bit longer but not much.  Very disappointing.  I'm now switching to an entirely different brand of liners, hoping for better results.
