Bindings for Head Great Joy?

I demoed the Head Great Joy and fell in love. So much fun! I don't think I've felt that confident on a ski in a long time. As a result I will be buying he skis from a local shop Outdoor Divas (the one that did the demo and has the best price I can find) tomorrow.

But, now I'm struggling with the binding decision. Eventually I'll transition my Auras to an AT set up but I suspect that won't happen until next season so I want to leave the Z10s that @trekchick (thanks a again!) gave me many years ago on those for rock skis until then. Therefor I need new for the new skis. I have a Squire on my Roxy Mumbo Jumbos that have been fine. I'm an 8.5 DIN and ski fairly aggressively, especially as I come back from a couple of seasons of illness and other challenges. However, I'd like to stay on the lower cost side like under $250.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Warnings?

No reason not to use the Tyrolia/Head Attack 12. Minty sea green matches the ski as well, but more importantly, the screws shipped with the 12 are actually a smidge shorter... the Joys are pretty thin skis. So the Attack... light, 17mm total height, only a tiny amount of ramp, and very easy to get in and out of... something to ponder when you ping out in very soft snow.  Also should be around $179.00 retail. Far superior in almost every way to your squires. (Sorry Marker, but the Squire needs some serious redesign IMHO.) Non-Tyrolia, my choice would be a Rossi FKS 12 for you, but that's around $250.00 retail.

Seriously, the Head Attack is a great choice.

Go with it and report back!

Ha! And here I was trying not to be superficial and go with the one that matches. The shop doesn't carry that binding but I'll see if they can order it. If they can't it doesn't mean it's a no go, I just would like to support them if I can.

You've got (dare I say it?) many mail order options if they can't get it. I'm sure TC, Phil, and others would be happy to oblige. smile.gif

Oh, I know. This shop has been good to me in many ways so I'd like to support them if I can but if the right choice for me is to order them from somewhere else I will.

So the shop doesn't carry the bindings but they were able to order them so they're on the way. Should be on themes skis for my next ski day. But I was so wishing I'd been on them today, Copper skied very well.

Well done! And cheers to the shop for going the extra mile for you. Surprised they didn't carry the attack 12. Along with the Heads, it looks great in the K2 potion 90, the Black Pearl, the Kenja and Aura, and believe it or not, kind of cool on the Samba as well.
