Has anybody used Oakley Prizm yet?

After last season my old trusty Anon Goggles were pretty much shot so I'm treating myself for this season.

I can get hold of Oakley goggles at a good price and was wondering if anyone had used the Prizm lenses yet?? Are they the real deal or is it just marketing BS?

I'm looking at the Jade Iridium or the Rose versions, has anybody used these? Is the Jade any good in flat light and is the rose too bright if the sun pokes its head out?

Cheers

From what I get they are the same, jade just has coating on front lens. I just grabbed the cheaper lens this week.

Hi Scrundy, did you go for Prizm rose then? I see it's a little cheaper than the Jade.

Yes I did. Shop person showed me both and they are the same. Went for cheaper even though the coated one would have made me look cool.

By the way haven't skied with them yet. Will give them a try Saturday morning. I let you know how it went. I think that pink color my be a little to girly for me,but if they work I am all in.

I'm not bothered how girly it looks....it's what i can see that matters!!!

I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know how it goes, I'm sure they'll perform well when things get rough but I'm interested to know if they can cope in more standard conditions, Oakleys diagram shows they perform up to the level of Black Iridium but I'd like to hear some experience from someone who's not employed by oakley.

Did you get out over the weekend scrundy???

Yes I did both mornings. Overcast real bad, flatter then hell. First impression was dam these are really pink. Even felt like I should sit to pee. But by the time I got to top of lift that pink was unnoticeable. They seemed to work great in low lite. As a matter of fact buddy could not see for crap and I never had a problem. For sunny conditions you may want to ask around more,we don't get much of that here in upstate NY. I just hope they work as well for night skiing.

Yep. Amazing. I live in Fernie BC (the land the sun forgot) and they are the perfect goggle here. Oakley's are delicate, expensive, ripe to be stolen from your table in the lodge and WORTH EVERY DAMN PENNY! I am old and have poor vision and these things are the bomb for low light.
