Early season trip with my wife due to her work schedule. All rain from the Emerald Lift down but snow up through the Ego Bowl and Upper Whiskey Jack to the Roundhouse. Supposed to be changing over to all snow tonight (fingers crossed!). Had a great afternoon lesson and was able to recover a lot of what I learned here last year. Planning another lesson tomorrow!

Good to hear first hand that things are OK at Whistler as I got some info that Whistler did not operate today. I guess my source for info is flawed. OTOH I still don't figure on getting to Whistler until the Spring.

WB closed yesterday due to high winds (100-150 kph). Looks like it's dumping up top hopefully at least down to mid mountain.

DanoT - we're feeling the same way. This is a once a year treat for us so we'll probably save the next one for spring 2016.

IMO, it is best to ski Whistler in the spring: less crowded, less expensive (but still pricey), they have had all winter to build a base, and a better chance of some nice spring weather.

Early December @ WB before Christmas is not crowded, and is really cheap. But yes, in spring, the chances are definitely better for getting spring like conditions, if that's what you are after in a ski trip.

Another round of lessons this morning, much better conditions than yesterday PM. It was snowing pretty heavily down to the Olympic Learning area so hopefully those runs will improve throughout the day.
