Dear All,

I had asked you about my 10 yrs old daughter's faults on her skiing through a photo sequence and some vids. http://www.epicski.com/t/126842/please-help-on-my-daughters-transition-sequence

Thanks to your valuable comments and advices; I've begun to exercise what you had advised in your comments. like more free skiing rather than spending all the time in the gates, try to solve back sitting problem, work on some drills etc.

The attached videos belongs to her last week training in Kaprun / Austria, with her new coach. She just trained 10 days with her new coach and they are doing well :)... This post and videos is actually a thank you update to you for which; even I noticed the difference and continuity in her skiing by our advices within 10 days. This season she is so happy and begun to enjoy skiing again rather than feeling like a robot or hard laborer in gates.

Thanks to you all again

Cheers

Consider boot alignment.  Look how her legs are not parallel.  If she was correctly aligned, she'd find the edge grip with her feet under her hips.

Why is she popping up to make each turn?  Extension turns are the way some rec skiers turn.  Retraction turns are documented as being quicker.  Watch Marlies Shild

Thanks for your advices SoftSnowGuy,

I'll ask the coach for her boots to be aligned. (although i have no idea what it means :))

for the popping issue; it was the first day she began to pole blocking in SL, might popping to do something with this?

thanks
