I don't really drink beer, but "Irish Therapy" may be just what I need this year. Happy holidays, everyone. You {and the hubby} are just about the only folks keeping me smiling!

Merry Christmas ya all, ya all

My boys are in England with their mum for a white Christmas so I am home alone at me old mums house sipping some nice scotch and keeping her company. Tommorrow it is off to the beach for prawns and bubbly under the pines with my sister and her kids. Mum just poured me a scotch and said Merry Christmas, glad someone (out of a family of 6 kids and 14 grandkids) is here with me so that put a smile on my face.

See you fooks for a Guiness in about 3 weeks as I head off to find my sons on the other side of the world and attend the Epic Ski gathering at Milton Keyes.

To all you Epic ski peoples, Merry Christmas and may the pow be deep, ya turns sweet and peace on earth for all peoples.

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all...and a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2004, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "America" in the Western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual orientation of the wishee.

This wish is limited to the customary and usual good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first. "Holiday" is not intended to, nor shall it be considered, limited to the usual Judeo-Christian celebrations or observances, or to such activities of any organized or ad hoc religious community, group, individual or belief (or lack thereof).

Note: By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher at any time, for any reason or for no reason at all. This greeting is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. This greeting implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for the wishee her/himself or others, or responsibility for the consequences which may arise from the implementation or non-implementation of same. This greeting is void where prohibited by law.

Merry Christmas to all!

I just got back from the local hill here in Toronto. Very sad to see what 24 hours of rain can do to a hill. The snow (what's left of it) was soft and nice, gettting drizzled on for 5 hours was not so nice. But, hey, I skied!

All I want for Christmas is a storm front from the Pacific meeting an Arctic air mass with the epicenter over Bozeman, Montana, dropping a season's worth of snowfall impregnated with refrigerated air to make the Legendary Cold Smoke that clogs one's nose like feathers of the tiny angels' wings that dance on the heads of pins.

That's all.

And God Bless Skiers Every One and Every Where!

And how many angels do you suppose we could fit on the head of one of those pins?

A long, long, long, long, time ago..WTFH.. I always remember listening to a guiness advert on ITV featuring a male choir chanting in dulcet tones, that..
" Guiness ~~is~~good~~for~~Yooohhh!!" You have certainly proven that to be true, mate..!
See you in the bar at your 2005 meeting venue. For both of us I will order a snake in the grass cocktail, a concoction invented (allegedly) by the bar staff in the Chateau Whistler in Whistler/Blackcomb.. oh, try and get Lisa to come along as well..

Oh but I would wish to be there! But first, someone needs to send me that angel, what's his face, from Its a Wonderful Life.
