Looking for advice for good used equipment [intermediate in MN]

Thread Starter

I've been out of skiingt for 20 years.;  I am looking to buy some good used equipment, and am looking for suggestions.  First time skiing in 20 years was last year and went out to Montana for 3 days.  I am 64, an intermediate skier, height 5 ft 11 and  weight about 185, will ski 25 - 30 days this year as we just reopened a local resort here in Minnesota.  I like groomed runs - never got into the powder.  Will go out to either Montana or colorado yearly for a week of skiing, but mostly will ski in a small resort here in Minnesota.

Looking for suggestions.

I would recommend visiting a local shop and seeing what they have for used demos.  Might be able to give you some good advice.  Since you have been off snow for 20 years, things have changed a ton.  Maybe rent a few times and get used to the new equipment?
