Thanks to the board for helping out. [a Beginner Zone thread]

Last winter I (47 yrs old) and my son (13 yrs old) started as first timers and had a poor start with poorly fitted rental equipment. With the help and encouragement of many on this board we got straightened out and enjoyed our opener at Winterplace this past Friday. We are loving it and have advanced to the blues with our own gear that we picked up at season's end last year. We easily could have give up without the knowledge we picked up here through direct advice and just reading threads. Great group and unfortunately too rare these days. Thanks to all!

Glad that EpicSki members could help you out.

It's such fun that the season is starting out so well in the southeast so there were plenty of places to ski on Thanksgiving weekend.
