Is the Latigo a softer flexing ski than the Brahma?

According to the Blizzard website they have very similar construction. The only difference being the Brahma incorporates Poplar-Bamboo-Paulowniea wood in the core and the LatiGo only has Poplar.

From reading many posts I get the impression the Latigo is softer (more forgiving) and a little easier to ski in bumps.

I know it should be better in bumps because it is narrower (therefore quicker edge to edge). But is it also easier because of a softer tip/tail?

If it is softer - why? Is it the different wood used in the core, differing rocker profile, or just that a narrower ski is easier to bend?
