FS: 2014 Black Diamond Carbon Megawatt, 178cm, NEW

SOLD

Extremely light carbon pow touring ski, brand-new & still in the shrink wrap. Tip rocker (lots) and tail rocker (not much) looks ideal, would love to keep 'em but just too many fatties in my quiver. Legit sidewall construction, not cap like prior versions that were much heavier. (The 2015 version is a bit lighter due to elimination of edge material around the tips and tails, but probably isn't as durable and DPS seems to think a little weight at the tip and tail is a good thing in a lightweight carbon ski.)

Some folks suggest these are in the same class as the Lotus 120: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...rbon-Megawatts

SOLD $575 shipped to lower 48 states.

(Add 3% to cover fee if payment is via Paypal, unless funding from balance or checking account).

The 178 length appears to be sold out everywhere I checked.

Nice skis.  Good thing (for me) they're not a size longer.  Otherwise I could easily see myself making a poor decision and buying another pair of skis, when I really shouldn't be buying any more skis.  No less, skis I don't have a lot of use for, considering where I usually ski.

If you don't mind me asking, what skis are you holding onto that overlap with these?

They're long for 178's, they're actually only about 1cm shorter than my carbon PM Gear Bro Fat 183's. I also have 183cm G3 Empire 127 (for inbounds) and 192cm Lotus 138 Pure. I've read that the 188cm Megawatt is a lot of ski, and I'm only 167 lbs. I'm in trees most of the time, and rarely open bowls.

As much as I like the shape and weight, the carbon Megawatts are too similar in width & weight to the Bro's to justfy keeping, and being older & used the Bros aren't worth as much so I'll keep those.

I bought the skis, communication with 1000oaks was smooth, shipping was fast and the skis were exactly as described. Great transaction all around.
