Utah or Colorado Dec 11-16?

I have flights etc. to Utah for December 11-16, I wanted to ski Alta, Snowbird, maybe Brighton.  I can easily switch flights and change hotels to Colorado right now, do you think current conditions warrant?  Alta has 12 runs / 3 lifts open, whereas Vail has 45 runs, 10 lifts open.  I have not ski'd Utah enough to know if the conditions now are any indication of what they'll be in 2 weeks.

I think that most of the mountains will be open, if not almost all.  Snowbird is reporting a 45" base, which will settle some w/o new snow.  That is plenty to have good skiing.  Bird/Alta doesn't have much open because they just opened the resorts and had a huge storm at the same time, and it will take a few days to get rolling.  What will matter most is which state will get more snow between now and then. I wouldn't worry about it whatsoever.

One year I had a trip planned in early December, Snowbird/Alta only had a 25" base.  I was ready to cancel the morning of the flight and a huge storm just magically rolled in and dumped 2-3 feet.  We had fantastic early season skiing.

Here's an another early Dec trip report on a 38" base. No problem. Mineral Basin skied just fine.

I wouldn't sweat it like others have said. Went to UT last year, the same time frame you went. Ended up being decent amount of snow by the time we showed up, and then the last two days of our trip were really good, as we got hit with a 12" dump on a mid-week, sleeper pow day. Heck, the way things are looking, both CO, and UT look to be getting decent amount of snow.

Alta Mid Dec 2013. Reported 6" at 6AM, snowed all day long.

Off the top of the Wildcat Chair. Light fluffy, Wasatch blower pow...

Thanks for the encouraging words, I'm going to stick with my original plans. I love summit County but excited to ski alta for the 2nd time.
