Using Ski Key with Leki Poles

Hi, I used to use the "Ski Key" for my skis and poles. I would put the bar of the lock through the straps of my poles. Recently, I bought Leki poles, which have the trigger system, where the straps stay on your gloves. I was wondering if anyone had a way to lock these poles up, as if you put it through the strap, someone could just unclip the strap. Also, if I buy Leki gloves, then I won't even have a strap. Thanks

Good question. Unfortunately I can't think of a solution other than the ski check. I had a pair of cheap poles stolen at Loon, so without a ski check option it would be nice to know how to secure my Leki race poles.

Now that I recall... years ago I remember a locking ski tote that would clamp over the poles as well as the skis. This could be cable locked to a secure spot. Not convenient like the Ski Key, but it would work.

Edit: Yep, they still make them, 'Ski Tote' brand.

we usually put the pole behind the skis in the ski rack and it locks them in fairly well...

the other solution is to lock the skis in the snowboard rack.. you can slide the poles-in and is locks them in.

of course you porbably can unscrew the disck and then slide them out but at least it's not imediatly stealable.

Well hypothetically someone could unscrew bindings and take skis. If you put it in the snowboard rack, the the handles and buckets are too wide to come out?

Didn't see that version, but yes- that's the company. I was thinking of the taller looking version. I see one at bottom of the page for 'similar items'.
