At about 3 a.m. Thursday, suspects broke into the Soulhouse Project Ski and Snowboard Shop at 10116 E St., just off Donner Pass Road, according to the Truckee Police Department, and took roughly 40 skis and snowboards.

The stolen gear is reportedly worth more than $25,000. Officers suspect the items will soon be advertised on CraigsList or in a similar venue.

“The snowboards were all brand new, without bindings, made by Lib Technologies and Burton in various graphic designs and models,” officers said. “The skis were all Moment brand, unmounted, and will require a template to install any bindings.”

Anyone with information should contact Womack at 530-550-2335 or Lopez at 530-550-2336.

Could be listed here or TGR as well. Maybe keep an eye out for new listings.

People really suck sometimes

That's a lot of stock.  I'd also be checking in to other small ski and snowboard shops somewhere else in the country, probably not in the vicinity of the place that got ripped off.

I'll bet those skis and snowboards end up on ebay or Craigslist.  It is too late for the swaps.

I still think a heist that big they'll try to move in one big fence transaction...  They'll solicit to small to medium ski and snowboard shops.  Heck, it might have even been another small shop owner that took them for their own shop.  Pretty dangerous to keep ads running and sell that much stolen stuff one at a time over months and months via eBay or Craigslist.  They'll try to dump them at a retail shop as inventory.

My goal every ski season is to suck less.

Have they got serial numbers for the stolen stuff. Boards might be flakier but for a brand like Moment between here,TGR and New schoolers chances are they could stand a fair chance with a bit if community detection.
