Hey Bob, great to hear the good news!
I always wondered about faux knees, when you do a 360, do your skis stay straight?
-Curious in Kentucky
They stay straight in a horizontal plane (like a 360) but swivel in a vertical plane (like a backflip). That was a very expensive add-on option.
And speaking of happy, I just did my first relatively significant new-knees boot track today. Booted up to the top of Four Pines in the JHMR sidecountry. The knees worked great and the skiing was excellent.
This is the only photo I have since I was alone. The top of the Rendezvous Bowl is in the background:
Hah! All the cool kids will want cyber knees.
Bob, that's a great, dramatic photo! I would love to do Four Pines someday, it looks like a perfect mountain, though like Apres Vous it's really a spur. It's like the big brother of the Hobacks. But I'd need a sled or some slaves to shove me to the summit. I've gone to the Village two seasons now in the spring, and I'll be there 3rd week of March. It's so stressful that I haven't tried contacting you or my old friends there...just trying to get my skiing back to a sense of normal. Maybe this time will be different. Have a great season!
