New Boots? [in Rochester, NY] - Page 2

I went back and talked to someone a little more knowledgeable. I moved up to the 100s. They also come with better insoles and have a heat moldable shell that might come in handy, since I have slightly wife feet, but not too wide. Still, the ability to stretch a little is nice.

The new guy was much more in tune to the performance needs I had. First guy found the boot line and got a great fit...the new guy helped with the performance aspect.

Thanks, everyone for your help. I feel much more excited for my new boots, now.

i would also try to get into a 120-130 flex (if it were me) .  The boot fitter put me into a 120 after being away from the sport for many years.  You would hate to get a new boot and start hitting it hard and say "i wish the boot were stiffer".  Just my .02

Another Rochester guy here............I had my last boots fitted by Dave Cardillo at his main office on Brighton Henrietta Townline Rd. I had the following done-sole planing and canting, new footbeds, grinding to fit my wide feet and softening the flex (they were 140 out of the box). They felt and skied great when he got done-I'd recommend him highly.

A few years ago I had some work done at The Balanced Athlete in Fairport, NY. You might want to stop in.
