Should I mount my Fischer Motive 86 175cm on the line?
First pair of Fischer skis for me (with Elan Apex I went 1cm back, with Stockli XXL 1cm forward).
Thank you for suggestions.
I'm assuming you have already mounted your Motive 86's, but I'm curious what you found. I had a chance to demo a pair of these a couple weeks ago, and found that with my boot at centerline, they felt like they had more tail, less tip then I'm used to. With the demo bindings I went 1.5 cm back, and that seemed like the sweet spot for me. I do like a ski with a bit more of a "traditional" feel to it, so I like a bit more tip and a bit less tail, when given the option. Otherwise, I thought the 86's ripped, a bit nervous carving fast big radius turns, but otherwise a fine ski.
What was your motivation for those mounts?
Why do you think that reasoning would apply to the Fischer?
I have the Motive 86s (182) mounted on the line. They ski great.
If you have a schizo or a demo track, you could play with it, but if not, I wouldn't overthink it - especially if you like they way they ski where they are currently mounted.
