Fisher x120, size 28.5. The Level9 ones.
I prefer it over my last boots - Dalbello Krypton Rampage.
The hike to the top of Ruapehu (above Turoa) is 400metres vert, it"s pretty steep, 45-50mins hard out slog, kicking some steps into ice. I did it to get fit for Colorado.
When I got the footbeds made there was a bit of a focus on a previous problem I had with pressure points on inner ankle point (which I solved with a donut). Because of this I went to a podiatrist and wear orthotics now- all to improve the ski day. So when the footbeds were made I lifted my big toe and a slight off angle was introduced to the sole level.
I'm in Silverthorne for 6 weeks and hope to be well sorted by the end of it. I just do not want to get that "I can't ski because of this pain!" thing.
I do intend to ski everyday.
