Where to find Beater Skis [for park in VA]

Hey guys,
I'm a newby skier that lives in Virginia, yes there is snow in virginia, and snowboarded for almost ten yrs(I'm 21)...I always thought that a backflip on skis looked a lot more enjoyable that snowboard because you have a better view and it looks awesome when people lay them out..so I got ahold of a free pair of ex-rental skis and some cheep and uncomfortable boots and we got a decent snow and me and my buddy pushed up a small kicker and I learned a backflip..Later that year we went to a nice resort in WV and I did some backflips there too and "tried" some rails.

And so my question,, This skiing thing is pretty fun but I want a pair of double tips so that I can go backwards and stuff, but money is tight right now and I can't afford to spent 200 for skis that I'll wear 5 times this yr at the most. (I AM hoping to buy some better boots.) So where can I get some very used and exceedingly scratched double tips? I'm not good enough to tell a difference in quality or performance..Is there somewhere were people sell their park skis that are all but worn out and if so where is it??

Thanks and sorry because I know that was a rambling mess..:/

Welcome to EpicSki!  I ski at Massanutten.  They have a pretty nice park set up with a separate J-bar that's rarely busy.

Have you ever been to Liberty Snowflex?

If you can get to Wintergreen on Nov. 28, that's when the ski swap to benefit the Wintergreen Volunteer Ski Patrol will be held.  Might be worth the drive.  All the other ski swaps were earlier in the fall.
