Yup, that's a cool cable car ride.  I don't care how many cable cars you've ridden, or how hard bitten you are about it, you'll belly up and have a look out through the floor.  You won't be able to help yourself.  We happened on a grey cable car by chance the first time we did the trip.  I knew about it, but it was just luck that the first one along was grey.

We'd ski Blackcomb all day, grab one of the last waffles at the Crystal Hut, do some laps of the Ridge Runner / Rock and Roll area, then cross over and ski the final run on the Whistler side, which we preferred.  Whichever side you choose that final run down can get a bit crowded.

We spent over 60% of our time on the Blackcomb side, and that was with the old Crystal chair.  Now that they've relocated the Harmony quad to the Crystal area (and installed a new Harmony high speed six) and relocated the base of the quad to avoid the cat track run out, I'd be happy to spend entire days on that side doing laps of that area and the glacier above.  Fabulous decision on the chair investment.  That whole left side of the piste map has been opened up to rinse-and-repeat laps.

Hope the weather is great. Enjoy!

I'm having some trouble in my mind justifying the 1800 bucks in guiding/coaching, but looking at the improvement of the entire experience and the investment of the week, it makes sense. I've been paid that daily rate for guiding many times and always thought it made sense... shouldn't be cheap...

thx for all the tips and ideas!

Cheers,

Wade

3 all day privates booked!

If I can't justify this as someone who has given tons of all day privates, who can...

Excited!

Thanks again for the tips!

If it's going off, it's peanuts.
If not, you still get to ski the best the mountain has to offer and it's a fraction of the total cost of your trip.

- a studio/loft, slps 4, at Village Gate House, Village, Fri 2/6 to Fri, 2/13;

- a studio, slps 2, at Village Gate House, Village, 3 nights, Fri 2/6 to Mon, 2/10;

- a -2-bd, slps 8, at the Fitzsimmons, Village, Sun, 3/15 to Sun, 3,22;

- a -2-bd, slps 8, at the Fitzsimmons, Village, Sun, 4/25 to Sun, 5/3;
