I have all the symptoms of a torn/injured meniscus. Doing squats a few weeks back I heard a loud pop in my knee. No pain at first but the next day it swelled up pretty bad and hurt. I kept up normal activities thinking it would go away and it hasn't. I wake up fine, knee feels a little loose is the best way I can describe, then at the end of the day the swelling is back and I have a little pain. I don't have any weight bearing problems and have full range of motion is why I didn't consider it serious.
Should I give it some more time/rest and see if it gets better or is the chronic swelling a sign I have something going on that won't just heal on its own. I hate going to the doc just to be told I need to rest but I am getting slightly concerned that the issues aren't going away and we're heading into the start of ski season. Any advice is appreciated.
